Lincoln County VINELink Coverage
Nevada runs its own statewide custody alert network. The Attorney General backs the service. The sheriff's page for Lincoln County links straight to VINE. Anyone can use it free of charge. Searches stay anonymous. Live operators answer the phones day and night. The system sends notices when a person in custody is transferred, released, or escapes.
One thing VINE will not show you is a Lincoln County booking photo. It tracks custody status only. The booking record, the arrest report, and the court case all live elsewhere. A result reflects whatever the custody system holds at that moment.
Search Lincoln County Custody
Enter enough detail to separate people who share a name. One name match alone does not prove you found the right person.
- Open the official VINELink search.
- Select Nevada as the state or jurisdiction.
- Choose the people search and enter the first and last name or an identification number.
- Review each possible match for the displayed agency, facility, custody state, and identifier.
- If there is no result, check spelling and timing, then call the Lincoln County detention line.
Prefer the phone? Call 1-888-268-8463, written by some as 1-888-2NV-VINE. The automated line takes a name or an offender ID. A "not found" answer can mean a spelling slip, a data lag, a release, a transfer, or an agency that does not take part, so it never rules out an arrest.
Lincoln County VINE Result Fields
Agencies format their results differently, so the exact fields depend on the record. Trust only what appears for the match you pulled.
| VINE field | What it can tell you |
|---|---|
| Name or offender ID | Helps distinguish records, but must be checked against other identifiers. |
| Custody status | Shows the reported state, such as in custody or released. |
| Facility or agency | Indicates where the participating record is associated. |
| Event type | May describe a release, transfer, escape, or another status change. |
| Registration option | Lets a user choose notification channels for a matched record. |
Lincoln County posts no current-inmate roster. That makes VINELink the official custody status source. For an arrest date, alleged offense, bond, narrative, or booking photo, request the county record, then open the VINELink interface used for Nevada custody searches.

The captured interface supports person-specific status searches and alerts, not public mugshot browsing.
Register Lincoln County Custody Alerts
Registration opens once VINE matches a record. Pick a delivery method you actually check, and keep the record details handy so you can change or end the subscription later.
- Open the correct person’s result and select the notification option.
- Choose phone, text, or email where offered.
- Enter the requested destination and complete any confirmation step.
- Create a four-digit PIN for phone notifications when prompted. It confirms receipt and stops repeat calls for that event.
- Save the offender ID, registration details, and VINE number for later updates.
Alerts can cover release, transfer, escape, or another participating status event. Think of them as a safety and awareness tool. Each notice reflects a custody event tracked by the statewide system.
Lincoln County Joined VINE
Lincoln County's VINE link is not a generic referral. Nevada announced the county's entry into the statewide service in 2011. The sheriff's page still points visitors to Nevada VINE. It also lists the state toll-free number. The Nevada Attorney General VINE page explains statewide custody notifications and participating coverage. That history makes VINE the county's alert route. It reports custody data, not booking photographs or final court results.
Lincoln County VINELink Limits
Data on VINELink can trail a fresh arrest. Someone arrested in Lincoln County may get transported, medically cleared, or booked before anything appears. They may also be cited, moved, or released in that window. For very recent arrests, use the Daily Arrest Report workflow instead. You can also call the Lincoln County Detention Center at 775-962-5151.
Federal custody works differently. The BOP Inmate Locator handles federal inmates. ICE runs a separate civil detention locator. U.S. Marshals prisoners sometimes sit in local jails under contract, with no public USMS county roster. Anyone sentenced to Nevada state prison appears in the NDOC offender search. They will not appear in a county booking search.
Request Lincoln County Arrest Records
VINELink only tells you custody status. For actual documents, turn to the Lincoln County Sheriff's records process. Give the person's name, the rough booking date, and any report or incident number, plus whether you want the arrest report, the booking record, or the booking photograph.

The county's official records page lays out the request route that pairs with a VINELink status check. Expect limits. Some law-enforcement records get withheld or redacted, and juvenile records never go out through the form.
Lincoln County Victim Support
Victims get help close to home. The Lincoln County Victim/Witness Services program provides advocacy, court accompaniment, case monitoring, and referrals for Lincoln, Eureka, and White Pine counties plus two Shoshone reservations. It is not an inmate search. It walks victims through each court and case step.
The sheriff's Victim/Witness Services page posts current contacts. Let VINE send the automated custody alerts. Let this program supply the human support.
Read Lincoln County Status Changes
Alerts describe custody, not court outcomes. A release notice tells you the record changed. A transfer notice may point to a move between jails or agencies. An escape alert is a serious safety matter in Lincoln County. Note the time it arrived, and call the source agency when the wording confuses you.
Keep your safety plans active even after signing up for alerts. Delivery can fail for many reasons. Phone outages and slow data entry are two of them. Update your contact details often. When the internet is down, the Nevada VINE phone line still works.
Confirm Lincoln County VINE Alerts
A VINE alert is only notice of a reported custody event. It is not the official record itself. Want a certified copy of an intake, release, or transfer document? Call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office with the person's name and the date in question. The sheriff's staff can pull the arrest file that backs up the alert.
Custody can also move out of county hands. The person may have been sentenced into a Nevada state prison. In that case the Nevada Department of Corrections holds the current profile. Federal cases are different again. Nevada VINE makes no promise of federal coverage. The Federal Bureau of Prisons and ICE run their own separate locators. Before you trust any match, confirm the agency, the facility, the identifier, and the time of the event.
When Lincoln County VINE Is Blank
A blank Lincoln County result is rarely one thing. The spelling may be off. The person may go by another name. Intake could still be in progress, or the arrestee may already be released or transferred. Sometimes the arresting agency keeps the record while another facility holds custody. Use a known identification number when you can. Match more than one identifier before trusting the result.
For instant status, call the detention line and ask staff directly. For a lasting copy, send the sheriff an identifiable request. Tie it to the booking or arrest date. Do not ask the office to build a list for you. Sentenced to state prison? Move to the NDOC search. Federal or immigration custody calls for the proper federal locator instead. Each system answers its own custody question, so keep the lookups separate.
